The first cut off a burl is called a cap cut. When it is inverted and then carved out you get a butcher bowl. The bowls you see here are representative of the work we do. Every piece of wood is shaped and colored differently. But they all contain a combination of outside roughness and inner beauty of figured grain. |

We basically use two woods for the bowls, manzanita and maple, but sometimes throw in a buckeye when a piece calls out for it |
